–The Kossuth County Conservation Board is currently accepting applications for seasonal camp sites at Smith Lake for the summer of 2026. Conservation Board Director Kendall Stumme tells KLGA News the sites have everything one would need to spend five months by the lake.
Applications are being accepted through March 13th with sites assigned through a lottery system amongst all that are turned in prior to that date.
You can stop by the Water’s Edge Nature Center to pick up an application or go online to www.mycountyparks.com/County/Kossuth and click on the “Show More” link to find the application. Stumme says they typically fill the majority of these seasonal sites.
