–Area residents packed the Columbia Events Center in Algona Tuesday evening as the Kemna Auto group hosted a public open house to celebrate the dealership’s 70th birthday. Owner and operator Carey Kemna tells KLGA News he could not believe the number of people who took time to stop out and share in the festivities.
Over the last 70 years, Kemna says the automobile business across Kossuth County has seen considerable changes.
Kemna says some of things available in today’s vehicles would make his grandfather scratch his head.
Founded in Bancroft, Kemna’s moved their main operations to Algona in 1992 and opened a Fort Dodge location in 2007.
