–Representatives from the Algona Area Economic Development Corporation will host a networking event Friday targeting people who may have just moved to the area or recently returned after time away. Joanne Roepke Bode serves as the Communications Manager for the City of Algona, and she tells KLGA News they started hosting these events a few years ago in an attempt to help people get to know the area a little better.
The AAEDC has hosted these events on a handful of occasions over the last few years, and Roepke Bode says they have gotten a lot of positive feedback.
Roepke Bode says they hope people will stop out and engage in a little friendly conversation.
The networking lunch will begin at 12 PM on Friday at Billie Jo’s in downtown Algona and is open to anyone who would like to participate.
