Traffic Stop Ends with Fenton Man Arrested

–A traffic stop along US Highway 169 near Algona late last week ended with a Fenton man being arrested on a felony level charge driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies conducted the stop in the rural Algona area around 1:30 PM this past Friday, April 10th Deputies identified the driver as 34-year-old Andrew John Cooper Kronmiller. A criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court states that the Deputies could smell alcohol coming from Kronmiller, and conducted a field-sobriety test.

The complaint goes on to say that Kronmiller consented to a breathalyzer exam, which registered above the legal limit of .08, at which time he was taken into custody.

Kronmiller has been charged with Operating While Intoxicated 3rd or Subsequent Offense, a Class D Felony, as well as Driving While Barred, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. He was booked into the Kossuth County Jail and is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on April 21st.
