–A Calhoun County man suffered serious injuries after his motorcycle crashed in northern Kossuth County over the weekend.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Jaden Marshall Feddersen of Manson was northbound along HWY 15 on a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle just after 6 PM Saturday.
The accident report states that as Feddersen approached a curve in the road north of Fenton, he attempted to pass another northbound vehicle and lost control, at which point he entered the north ditch and crashed.
Feddersen was transported by Air Ambulance to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City with what were described as serious injuries. The accident report also indicates that a blood test was conducted to determine if Feddersen was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
Damage to the motorcycle was estimated at $4,000.
