–Congresswoman Ashley Hinson is bringing her annual “BBQ Bash” fundraiser to Central Iowa this weekend as she continues her campaign for the US Senate. Hinson spoke with KLGA News this week in advance of her stop in the Des Moines area, where she will be joined by Republican leaders at the state and national level.
Hinson was first elected to Congress in 2020 representing parts of eastern Iowa. Now that she is seeking the Senate seat currently held by Republican Joni Ernst, Hinson says she has been working hard to meet voters and get her message out with stops in all of Iowa’s 99 counties.
Tickets for Saturday’s event are available on Hinson’s website. Hinson will face Democrat Josh Turek in the general election. Turek currently represents the 20th District in the Iowa House of Representatives, which includes parts of the Council Bluffs area in Pottawattamie County.
