–An Armstrong woman was cited following a 2-vehicle collision in rural Palo Alto County late last week.
According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Justina Christoffer was northbound on Iowa Highway 4 in a 2020 Dodge Ram around 12:45 PM last Thursday (Sept. 10). As Christoffer approached the intersection with 350th Street, 1 mile north of US Highway 18, she failed to notice a Fed Ex truck, driven by 34-year-old Ryan Nagel of Estherville.
The Fed Ex truck was waiting to turn left onto 350th Street, when Christoffer failed to see it in time, causing a rear-end collision.
Both vehicles were considered a total loss following the collision.
No injuries were reported, but Christoffer was cited by law enforcement for Failure to Stop within an Assured Clear Distance, a simple misdemeanor.
