–The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors will host an informational meeting with the general public next week that will feature representatives from both local and statewide agencies.
The meeting has been scheduled for 5 PM on Thursday, October 29th and it will be held in the Supervisors meeting room at the Kossuth County Courthouse.
Information provided by the Kossuth County Auditor’s Office indicates representatives from Kossuth Area Economic Development, Algona Municipal Utilities, Midland Power Cooperative, MidAmerican Energy, Alliant Energy, Titonka-Burt Communications, and the North Iowa Area Council of Governments will all be in attendance.
The board made mention of the meeting this week while they were discussing a possible moratorium on data center construction. On Tuesday, the Supervisors voted 3-2 to instruct the county’s planning and zoning commission to start the procedure for a possible moratorium.
