–While the warmer temperatures recently have many thinking about spring, the Algona Recreation Department is actively preparing for their spring and summer activities. Recreation Director Nick Diers updated the City Council on everything they have going on right now during their meeting this week.
Diers says they are also getting everything ready for the Algona Aquatic Center so it can open for the season on time.
You can sign up for spring and summer activities online by going to www.algonaiowa.gov and clicking on the Parks & Rec tab. Anyone looking for a position at the aquatic center this summer can pick up an application at city hall.
