–A Burt woman is facing multiple charges following a one-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 41-year-old Lindsey Marie Wilkening was westbound on 300th Street approaching HWY 169 just west of Burt in a 2009 Saturn around 2 PM Tuesday.
The accident report states that Wilkening’s vehicle entered the south ditch and continued westbound before colliding with an embankment, causing the vehicle to go airborne over HWY 169 before coming to rest in a field west of the highway.
Wilkening reported minor injuries but was not taken for medical attention.
She was taken into custody on charges of OWI 1st Offense, Failure to Maintain Control and Driving with a Suspended License.
Damage to her vehicle was estimated at $2,500. Wilkening is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Kossuth County District Court on July 2nd.
