–A Titonka man is the latest recipient of the “1440 Citizen of the Month” award from the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Roger Fisher announced this week that David Trunkhill is the award winner for the month of June. Trunkhill was nominated for the dedication he shows to his community, serving as the Fire Chief in Titonka for over 20 years.

He recently helped both his department and the community at large deal with the tragic death of one of their firefighters, bringing peace and comfort to all involved.
