–Registration is now open for a handful of fall activities that will be conducted through the Algona Recreation Department.
According to a release from the city of Algona, online registration is available for the Youth Volleyball and Soccer programs, along with the Tornado Alley run that will be held on Saturday October 5th.
Youth Volleyball is a six-week program for students in 5th and 6th grade that will begin on September 10th and go through October 17th. Practices and games will be held inside the Lucia Wallace gymnasium on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each session will begin at 4:15 PM and the cost is $20 per person.
Co-ed Youth Soccer is also a six-week program for students in 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades. Practices and games will be held at the Bertha Godfrey fields beginning on September 9th and going through October 17th. Sessions are held on Mondays and Thursdays and will begin at 4:30 PM, and the cost is $20 per person.
The Tornado Alley run offers a 5K run or walk, a 10K run and a 1-mile fun run on Saturday, October 5th.
The deadline to register for Volleyball or Soccer is September 6th, while you can pre-register for the Tornado Alley run to guarantee a race t-shirt, or you can sign up the day of the race.
