–A Central Iowa teenager is facing charges from a previous incident and new ones after being taken into custody in rural Kossuth County over the weekend.

According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies received a request for assistance in the rural Bancroft area just after 7 PM Sunday. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted a brief investigation and arrested 18-year-old Jayden Alan Beck of Waukee on warrants from earlier this year.

Beck was arrested in Kossuth County last October on charges including possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and again this April on a charge of 5th degree theft. Bench warrants were eventually issued for his arrest as a part of court proceedings from those cases.

Following the alleged incident over the weekend, Beck is also being charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury or Mental Illness and 5th Degree Theft Against an Older Individual, both Serious Misdemeanors.

He was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance and is scheduled to have a preliminary court hearing on September 23rd.

A No Contact Order has also been issued to prevent Beck from having any contact with the alleged victim in the case.
