–The Algona AAUW chapter will host a public presentation Thursday featuring a journalist who covers all aspects of state government and politics. Laura Belin is the publisher and primary reporter for the Iowa political website Bleeding Heartland while also serving as the statehouse reporter for radio station KHOI in Ames, and she will lead the discussion at the Algona Public Library. Belin tells KLGA News the presentation will focus on a couple of topics, including access to public records in Iowa.
Along with the presentation, Belin says there will be plenty of time to answer questions from the audience on any topic they may want to discuss.
Belin says they may even dive into topics like library funding.
The presentation is free and open to the public and will begin at 7 PM Thursday at the Algona Public Library.
