–Iowa Lakes Community College has announced what courses will be offered this fall as part of their Stay Active in Learning (SAIL) program, which is aimed at keeping seniors active and learning later in life. Dr. Kelly Klinker-Simonin will lead one of the courses this fall, one of which will center on the Vietnam War.

The second class will feature the film work of Maureen O’Hara, who worked with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars during her career.

Each of the courses will be held on the Spencer campus of Iowa Lakes, and Klinker-Simonin says they are extremely informal.

The Vietnam War class will meet on Monday’s beginning on September 16th while the Maureen O’Hara course will meet on Wednesday’s, beginning September 18th. The cost for each course is just $25, and you can sign up by going online to www.iowalakes.edu/ce and finding course 7796 (Vietnam) or 7795 (Maureen O’Hara). For more information, you can contact Iowa Lakes by calling 1-800-252-5664.
