–A Whittemore native will be back in town on Saturday to headline the live entertainment at their Harvest Fest celebration. Lynda Savard is a 1987 graduate of Bishop Garrigan High School, and currently serves as lead singer for the band “Necessary Diversion”. Savard tells KLGA News the band is a mix of family and friends, and they are ready to put on a great show in Whittemore.

If you come out Saturday night, Savard says you’ll hear a wide variety of music.

Savard says her mom had a role in bringing “Necessary Diversion” to the Harvest Fest.

The Harvest Fest will run from 4-10 Saturday in downtown Whittemore, and will feature a Home Brew Contest, both a Keg toss and Sausage eating contest that will be bracketed by age, a kids scavenger hunt, and a meal consisting of brats and sauerkraut. “Necessary Diversion” will perform from 6-10 PM Saturday on Broad Street. In case of rain, the concert would be moved to the community center.
