Alliant and IUC to Host Informational Meeting in Lakota

–Representatives from Alliant Energy and the Iowa Utilities Commission will host a public informational meeting on Thursday, April 3rd in Lakota to discuss plans for a potential battery energy storage system in Kossuth County.

Officials with Alliant declined to speak with KLGA News about the proposed project prior to Thursday’s meeting, which will be held in the Lakota Community Room (206 3^rd Street) beginning at 12:30 PM.

According to a news release from the energy company, there will be a formal presentation followed by a time for questions and answers. The meeting is open to the public.

Anyone who can’t make it can submit comments on the proposed project directly to IUC by going online to www.iuc.iowa.gov.
