–Kossuth County Conservation will host a field day class later this month for area youth looking to complete their Hunter’s Education course. Conservation Board Director Kendall Stumme tells KLGA News the course is required for anyone aged 12 and over who wants to get their own hunting license.
Registration for the online portion of the class can be found at www.hunter-ed.com/iowa. Stumme says this hands-on training is needed for all hunters to make sure everyone stays safe in the field.
While space is limited, Stumme says they will try to accommodate as many students as possible, as registration for the Field Day can be found at www.events.goooutdoorsiowa.com.
The Field Day will be held from 12-3 PM on Saturday, April 15th at the Izaak Walton League headquarters across from Smith Lake along US Highway 169. Anyone with questions can contact the Water’s Edge Nature Center at 515-295-2138.
