–A Hancock County man is facing a felony domestic assault charge following an alleged incident over the weekend in Burt.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies arrested 23-year-old Chase Cook Kronemann of Britt around 4:45 PM Saturday after he was spotted walking west along 300th Street.
A criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court alleges that Cook Kronemann had come to Burt with his live-in girlfriend to help another individual move. The complaint alleges Cook Kroneman began to strike his girlfriend following an argument, eventually placing his hands around her neck and choking her. Deputies noted in the complaint that red marks were visible on the victim’s neck and she was visibly shaking while speaking to law enforcement.
Cook Kroneman was booked into the Kossuth County Jail on charges of Domestic Abuse Assault Impeding Air/Blood Flow Causing Injury, a Class D Felony, as well as Public Intoxication. He was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. Court records show he is scheduled to have a preliminary court hearing on April 22nd.
Court records also show a no contact order has been issued to prevent Cook Kronemann from having any contact with the alleged victim in the case.
