–A Kossuth County man is facing a domestic assault charge following an alleged incident in the early-morning hours of April 21st.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s, Deputies responded to a Whittemore residence just after midnight on Tuesday, April 21st following the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted a brief investigation and arrested 38-year-old Jared Shane Linehan of Lone Rock on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault-Impeding Air/Blood Flow, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
A criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court alleges that Linehan held the victim down and used his forearm to choke them, to the point they nearly lost consciousness. The complaint says the incident took place during an ongoing argument between Linehan and the victim.
Linehan was booked into the Kossuth County Jail. He is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on Friday, May 1st. Court records also show a no contact order has been issued to prevent Linehan from having any contact with the alleged victim in the case.
