–A Humboldt County man has been sentenced to 125-years in prison this week after pleading guilty to multiple counts of sexual abuse.

Court records show that 38-year-old Nathaniel Lee Depew, formerly of Livermore, pleaded guilty to five counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse during a hearing on Tuesday in Humboldt County District Court. A trial had been scheduled for June before Depew agreed to the plea deal with prosecutors last month.

According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Depew requested immediate sentencing following that hearing, where he received 25-years on each of the five counts. Judge Amy Moore ruled that the sentences will be served consecutively, meaning Depew will have to serve more than 80 years in prison before he is eligible for parole.

Depew was charged with 1st Degree Kidnapping, 3 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, and 12 counts of Child Endangerment last August, after an investigation was launched in May of 2025 into an alleged sexual assault in Livermore.

37-year-old Dixie Jean Niles of Livermore was arrested along with Depew last August as a part of this case. She is set to stand trial in June on charges of Kidnapping, Human Trafficking a Person Under 18, Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Child Endangerment, and 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse.
