–Cleanup efforts continue after a train derailed near Galbraith Friday afternoon, spilling multiple cars full of grain. Kossuth County Emergency Management Coordinator Charissa Mueller tells KLGA News the incident was reported around 4 PM and cleanup work began shortly after emergency personnel arrived.

Kossuth County Road B58 is currently closed between 150th Avenue and 160th Avenue, about 7 miles southeast of Algona, as the investigation into the incident continues. Mueller says the situation could have been much worse.

Officials have not said what may have caused the derailment and are asking for the public to stay out of the area as work continues.
