Weekend Incident Leads to Multiple Arrests in Mallard

–A harassment complaint early Saturday morning in Mallard resulted in the arrest of 4 individuals from 4 separate NW Iowa communities on a wide array of charges.

According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies were called to a residence on Inman Street in Mallard around 1:40 AM Saturday.

After conducting a brief investigation, Deputies arrested 48-year-old Jason Langschwager of Primghar on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine-2nd offense, Possession of Marijuana-2nd offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 3rd Degree Harassment.

Deputies also arrested:

–35-year-old Ashley Sorenson of Okoboji on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine-1st offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

–24-year-old Jesse Colhour of Ruthven on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine-3rd offense (Class D Felony)and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

–64-year-old Mark Shaughnessy of Mallard on charges of Possession of Marijuana-3rd offense, Possession of Methamphetamine-1st offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All four were booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Emmetsburg Police Department and the Emmet County Sheriff’s Department K9 Unit.
