–A pair of Algona residents were taken into custody Friday morning by Algona Police on Kossuth County warrants.
According to the Algona Police Department, Officers were able to locate both 40-year-old David Robert Steiner and Tammy Steiner just after 11 AM on Friday and placed them under arrest.
Online court records show a criminal complaint was filed against David Steiner by the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Department last Thursday, and an arrest warrant was issued on Friday.
David Steiner is facing a pair of felony charges, including Forgery and Possession of a Controlled Substance-3rd Offense, both Class D Felonies. Along with the felony counts, he is also facing a charge of Identity Theft under $1,500 (Aggravated Misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor).
The arrests are the result of alleged incidents from January 10th and 13th of 2023. Court records show David Steiner is scheduled to have a hearing next Tuesday in Kossuth County District Court.
