–A Kossuth County man is facing 5 felony charges after law enforcement officials executed a search warrant in Swea City Monday.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies executed the warrant at 205 7th Street South, on the southwest edge of Swea City, Monday afternoon. Deputies seized several firearms, marijuana THC cartridges, and drug paraphernalia.
As a result, Deputies arrested 25-year-old Felipe Garza, charging him with Possession of a Short Barel Rifle (Class D Felony), Possession of Firearms by a Domestic Offender (Class D Felony), Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana (Class D Felony), Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp (Class D Felony), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor).
Because there are minor children that live at the residence, DHS was contacted to open an investigation, and Garza is also being charged with Child Endangerment (Class D Felony).
Garza was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. The case remains under investigation, with future charges pending.
