Updated information has been released regarding an incident that occurred on Sunday, July 30th in Fort Dodge. At about 8:01 pm, the Webster County communications center received multiple shots fired in the area of N 14th Street and 1st Ave. N. Callers advised that they heard many shots being fired.
Following this incident, the Fort Dodge Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division along with the Webster County Attorney’s Office have continued to track down leads and gather information. Due to the ongoing investigation thus far, arrest warrants have been issued for two individuals.
The first warrant has been issued for Austin S. Ferguson of Fort Dodge for attempt to commit murder, a class B felony. The second warrant was issued for Jason H. Ferguson of Fort Dodge for aiding and abetting an attempt to commit murder, also a class B Felony.
If anyone knows the whereabouts of these individuals, they are encouraged to contact law enforcement immediately. Fort Dodge Police have been assisted in this investigation by the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, the Webster County Attorney’s Office, and the Special Emergency Response Team.
As part of this investigation, Webster County Crime Stoppers is offering a $250 reward to anyone with information which leads to the arrest of the alleged offenders.
