–A Mason City man was taken into custody late last week following a domestic disturbance in Titonka.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to a call for assistance in Titonka just after 4:30 PM on Thursday, August 24th. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted a brief investigation before arresting 39-year-old Jimmy Jerome Harkey of Mason City.
Harkey is being charged with Domestic Abuse Assault with Intent to Inflict Serious Injury, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. He was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. Online court records indicate he is due back in court on Friday, September 1st for a preliminary hearing.
Court records also show a no contact order has been issued, to prevent Harkey from having any contact with the alleged victim in the case.
