–A Wesley man has been cited following a 2-vehicle accident that occurred north of Burt last week.

According to a report just released by the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 50-year-old Daniel Skow of Wesley was eastbound on 330th Street in a 2018 Ford F150 around 8:45 PM on Tuesday, November 21st. Skow apparently ran the stop sign at the intersection with HWY 169 and collided with a northbound 2018 Chevy Equinox driven by 62-year-old Laura Pitkin of Bancroft.

Skow was taken to Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona by Bancroft Ambulance after sustaining possible injuries, as the report does not indicate whether he was wearing a seatbelt. Both Pitkin and a passenger reported possible injuries, but neither was transported from the scene, as both were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $8,000. Skow was cited for OWI 1st offense and Failure to Yield Upon Entering an Intersection.
