–The winners of the Algona Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Ambassadors “Christmas Tree” contest were announced on Thursday.
The contest had 3 different categories: a Classic tree, a specific Theme tree and a Charlie Brown tree, one that was designed by a child.
Erica Samp won the Classic Tree category, while Toni Rice won the Theme category with his Grinch tree, and Lindsay Rae won the Charlie Brown category.
Nearly 30 different tree designs were submitted for the contest, as the winners were decided by the number of votes each received while posted online.
Each of the winners will receive $50 in Algona bucks.
