–Moving Veteran’s Forward of North Central Iowa will soon move to a temporary warehouse as they continue to raise funds to construct a permanent facility in Algona. Co-Founder John Emswiler tells KLGA News that he will be able to move into a temporary facility this spring following a recent conversation with the Donald Tietz Charitable Foundation.

Moving Veteran’s Forward provides furniture and other home items for veterans in need as they transition back into civilian life. The current warehouse, located south of the Kossuth County Fairgrounds, has no heat, no water, a leaky roof, and no way to prevent rodents from entering the facility. Emswiler is raising funds to build a permanent facility in that area, as the Tietz Foundation has pledged the land for the project. Emswiler says the temporary facility will not only give them a chance to keep their home furnishings stored properly but will also serve as a make-shift veterans center.

Emswiler says they will be able to move into the temporary facility this spring.

Emswiler says they will continue to raise funds for the permanent warehouse facility until it becomes a reality. You can learn more about Moving Veteran’s Forward and their Warehouse Project by going to www.mvfnci.org.
