–Area farmers can take part in an informational meeting next week in downtown Algona, aimed at those who produce fruits and vegetables in northern Iowa. Local produce grower Joanne Roepke-Bode tells KLGA News the meeting is being hosted by the Practical Farmers of Iowa, who are hosting these meetups around the state.
Roepke-Bode says plenty of topics will be covered, but the main focus of the meeting will be surrounding horticulture.
Roepke-Bode says the meeting can serve as a springboard for anyone who may be interested in joining the Kossuth County Farmers Market.
The meeting will be held on Friday, February 16th from 9-11 AM at The Feed Mill in downtown Algona. No preregistration is needed.
