–An Algona woman is facing a domestic abuse charge following an alleged incident over the weekend.
According to the Algona Police Department, Officers responded to a call for assistance just after 12:30 PM Sunday. Following a brief investigation, Officers arrested 42-year-old Melissa Hrdlicka on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault-1st Offense, a Simple Misdemeanor.
Hrdlicka was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. Online court records show she is scheduled to have a non-jury trial on May 17th in Kossuth County District Court.
Court records also show a no-contact order has been issued to prevent Hrdlicka from having any contact with the alleged victim in the case.
