–A Minnesota man has been identified as the person killed after attempting to elude law enforcement and crashing his vehicle in rural Winnebago County late Wednesday night.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2005 Lincoln LS driven by Jesse A. Chandler of Albert Lea, Minnesota was actively fleeing Law Enforcement officers around 10 PM Wednesday along US HWY 69 West of Lake Mills.
The accident report states that Chandler lost control while trying to negotiate a curve in the roadway and entered the ditch, where the vehicle rolled. Chandler was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted at the scene by Lake Mills Police, Fire, and Ambulance, as well as the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department.
