Iowa Lakes Trustee to Receive State Recognition

–A current member of the Iowa Lakes Community College Board of Trustees is being honored at the state level.

Bob Jennings of Algona is currently the Vice President of the Iowa Lakes Board, serving as a trustee in the college’s 7th District. Jennings has been named the 2024 recipient of the “Trustee Leadership Award” by the Community Colleges for Iowa organization.

Jennings represents Iowa Lakes, serving on the Community Colleges for Iowa Board of Directors. Each of the 15 community colleges in the state has a trustee that serves on the IACCT board. Jennings is being honored for serving as chair of that board.

Jennings is being honored alongside James Mollenhauer and Dr. Todd Holcomb.

Mollenhauer serves as the Board of Trustees Chairman for Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. He is receiving the John P. Kibbie Award which is given each year to an active Trustee who has made a significant, positive impact in their community, benefitting their community college and the community as well.

Holcomb is the President of Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, and he is receiving the Chief Administrator Award, which is given annually to the most recent chair of the President’s Group.
