–The Algona City Council rejected all of the bids that were received for the Phase 2 exterior improvements project at the Algona Public Library during their meeting this week. City Administrator Jacob Tjaden told the council each of the bids they received was higher than anticipated.
Tjaden says they can resubmit the project for bids later in the year to see if they would come back closer to the estimated costs. Otherwise, he says they can look at ways to scale back the design to bring costs down.
