The family of fallen Algona Police Officer Kevin Cram were the guests of honor at an annual charity golf tournament in Webster City this weekend, hosted by the Hamilton County Peace Officers Association. More than 160 golfers took part in the Saturday tourney at Briggs Woods Golf Course. With Officer Cram’s family in attendance, Colonel Nathan Fulk of the Iowa State Patrol read a letter from Iowa Senator Joni Ernst

Organizer Rod Hickock told the crowd nearly 100% of the funds brought in by Saturday’s event will go to Officer Cram’s family. Last year’s golf outing raised more than $27,000 dollars for the family of Austin Richardson, a Fremont County Sheriff’s Deputy who was killed in a crash in June of 2022.
