–Kossuth County farmers who suffered damage due to flooding earlier this year will be able to apply for assistance through the US Department of Agriculture’s Emergency Conservation Program (ECP) next month. Kossuth County FSA Executive Director Gabriela Thompson spoke with KLGA’s Al Lauck this week about what qualifies for assistance.
The Emergency Conservation Program (ECP) is designed to assist producers restore their farmland to pre-disaster conditions.
Thompson says they need documentation of the damage a producer incurred prior to them making any repairs.
