DNR Says Quail Numbers Should be Strong this Fall

The wet spring is expected to impact the pheasant population in some areas of the state, but DNR wildlife biologist Todd Bogenshutz says Iowa’s quail population should be fine.

Bogenschutz says that’s due in part to their background.

The DNR will find out more about both quail and pheasants during the annual roadside counts in August.
