–The Camp Algona POW Museum is hosting a special event next week to celebrate a couple of milestones. Museum Board spokesman Brian Connick tells KLGA News that they are inviting the public to come out Wednesday evening.
Connick says the new addition at the museum will focus primarily on Kossuth County’s role in World War II.
The museum is also starting a new exhibit where they will feature a “Veteran of the Year”.
Connick says the museum has seen an uptick in traffic this year.
The Grand Re-Opening event will run from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, August 14th, as the museum will be open to the public at no cost that evening. If you can’t make it out Wednesday, the museum is open 10AM-4PM during the week through the summer and from 1-4 PM on the weekends. Admission costs $5 for adults, while anyone 12 and under get in for free.
