Humboldt County Pair Facing Drug Charges

–A pair of northern Humboldt County residents were taken into custody early Wednesday morning following an alleged incident south of Algona.

According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies were called just after Midnight Wednesday to investigate a reported theft of property south of Algona. After conducting a brief investigation, Deputies arrested 26-year-old Lacey Michelle Douglas of Bode and 49-year-old Timothy Scott Hedglin of Ottosen.

Douglas is facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Hedglin is being charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Online court records show that Douglas is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Kossuth County District Court on September 24th, while Hedglin’s court proceedings are scheduled for the spring of 2025.
