–No injuries were reported following a 2-car collision south of Bancroft Friday afternoon.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 43-year-old Gerald Pesicka of Burt was southbound on 125th Avenue in a 1997 Buick Park Avenue around 2 PM Friday.
The accident report states that Pesicka was distracted by something in the vehicle, and did not see that he was about to enter the intersection with County Road A42. Pesicka was unable to stop at stop sign, and collided with a westbound 2024 Chevy pickup truck, driven by 52-year-old Kurt Cheevers of Spencer.
Cheevers told Deputies he noticed the Pesicka vehicle was not stopping at the intersection but was unable to avoid the collision. Neither driver reported any injuries.
Damage to Pesicka’s car was estimated at $2,500 while damage to Cheevers’ truck was estimated at $1,000.
