–Local businesses and organizations will have the opportunity to learn about the free marketing tools that are available to them through the Iowa Tourism Office at a pair of workshops next week in Algona. Shelly Brown is the Coordinator for the Tietz Entrepreneurial Center on the Algona campus of Iowa Lakes Community College, and she tells KLGA News these workshops will be offered on Tuesday, October 22nd.

The workshops will be offered twice on the 22nd, once at 7:30 AM and again at 11:30 AM, and will last approximately one hour. They will be led by Stephanie Neppl, the Tourism Liaison in the Iowa Tourism Office.

Brown says the workshops are geared towards all sorts of area businesses that would benefit by boosting their profile on a statewide basis.

Pre-registration is appreciated, but not required to attend the workshops that will be held on the Iowa Lakes Algona Campus. You can sign up by going online to www.iowalakes.edu/ce or by calling 1-800-252-5664.
