–The Algona Rotary Club is sponsoring a pair of fun Halloween themed event this weekend out at Smith Lake.
Area youngsters can come out for a free pumpkin carving event from 1-4 PM Sunday at the Smith Lake Campground Maintenance Shed. Then those pumpkins will be put on display during the Jack-O-Lantern Lane event later that night.
For just $5, you can drive through the Smith Lake Campground and see all of the carved pumpkins. If you plan on coming out that night, they ask that you enter Smith Lake from Highway 169.
The Jack O Lantern Lane event runs from 7-8:30 PM Sunday, as all of the pumpkins have been donated by Bode’s Moonlight Gardens.
