–Libraries across Kossuth County are teaming up to help promote literacy amongst our youngest residents. Lori Walton is the Director at the Algona Public Library, and she spoke with KLGA News about the “Books for Babies Project”.
Any parents who currently have a newborn or those expecting a child soon can contact any of the 12 libraries in Kossuth County to receive a special packet with a handful of different items.
Walton says one of the reasons the Kossuth County Library Association came together for the project is to emphasize the importance of reading to your child at a young age.
The packets are designed for newborn children up to one year of age. If you have any questions, or to request a free packet, you can contact the library in your community.
