–Less than 200 of the absentee ballots that were requested in Kossuth County have yet to be returned as of Thursday, with just a few days to go until election day.
Statistics provided by the Iowa Secretary of State’s office show around 2,600 absentee ballots were requested and issued in Kossuth County, with 2,500 of them already received in the auditor’s office.
Here in Kossuth County, Republicans requested 1,474 ballots for the general election, and 1,387 of them have been turned in as of Thursday morning. Democrats requested 743 absentee ballots, and of that total, 711 have been returned.
Libertarian Party voters requested 15 absentee ballots here, and 12 of those have been returned.
Another 433 ballots were requested without a party affiliation in Kossuth County, and 390 of those have been turned in to be counted.
