–The North Central Iowa Chapter of the Moving Veteran’s Forward is settling into their new warehouse facility in Algona. John Emswiler heads the local MVF chapter, and he tells KLGA News that they had to move on from their plans to build a brand-new facility to house their donated items.

Moving Veterans Forward had been raising funds for a new facility to be built south of the Kossuth County Fairgrounds. In April, they moved into an existing building on State Street in Algona, and Emswiler says that will now be their permanent home. He says the funds they raised to build a new facility will now be used to help with their day-to-day costs.

Emswiler says they still have a few things to complete before they unveil their new home to the public.

MVF relies solely on supporter donations to assist veterans as they transition into civilian life, collecting household items and anything else they may need when they find housing.
