–An Illinois woman is facing multiple assault charges after officers responded to a call late Thursday night in Algona.
According to the Algona Police Department, Officers responded to a call for assistance just after 11:30 PM Thursday.
After conducting a brief investigation, they arrested 40-year-old Cynthia Figueroa of River Forest, Illinois on charges of Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations Causing Bodily Injury (Aggravated Misdemeanor), Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations (Serious Misdemeanor), Assault and Interference with Official Acts (both Simple Misdemeanors).
Figueroa was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. Online records show she is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on Monday, November 25th in Kossuth County District Court.
