–A man convicted on weapons charges in Kossuth County back in 2022 is being sought by law enforcement officials around the state after apparently walking away from a treatment facility earlier this month.
23-year-old Michael Sie Lee Street was initially charged with attempted murder after firing shots at another person near Veteran’s Park in Algona back on April 9th of 2022. Instead of going to trial on the attempted murder charge, Street ended up pleading guilty to one count of intimidation with a dangerous weapon and one count of going armed with intent, for which he received a 10-year prison sentence.
Street was first admitted to the Sioux City Residential Treatment Facility on July 15th, but he failed to report back as required on August 5th. He is described as a white male, 5’11” tall and weighing around 260 pounds.
