–The Algona Daughters of the American Revolution chapter will host an exhibit entitled the American Revolution Experience for an 11-day stretch beginning this weekend. Teri Miller serves as the Regent for the Algona DAR chapter, and she tells KLGA News that they feel fortunate to be able to bring this exhibit to the area.
The Algona DAR Chapter celebrated their 100th anniversary in May of 2024, and Miller says they began efforts to secure this exhibit in a lead up to those festivities.
The exhibit will be on display at the Algona Public Library September 14th through the 25 and can be viewed during regular library hours those days. Miller encourages those young and old to come out and see it while it is in town.
The public is invited to attend a special reception in honor of the exhibit on Sunday from 2-4 PM at the library. To learn more about the exhibit and the American Battlefield Trust, you can go online to www.american-revolution-experience.battlefields.org.
