–Area residents are invited to attend the annual Public Safety Night Out this evening at the Kossuth County Fairgrounds. Algona Mayor Rick Murphy tells KLGA News that local and state agencies will be on hand to meet with the public in a family friendly environment.
Murphy says the festivities will begin at 5 PM with an opening ceremony scheduled for 5:15 PM.
The K9 demonstrations will be held at 5:30 and 7 PM, a Drone demonstration will start at 6 PM and a Jaws of Life/Vehicle Extrication is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM, with the event set to wrap up at 7:30 PM. There is no cost to attend. Freewill donations will be accepted to be put towards the public safety endowment fund.
